What is Flavor & SKU System?
The design system that keeps twelve flavours telling each other apart on a shelf while still obviously belonging to one brand. Colour logic, naming, hierarchy, iconography and the rules for what happens when you add flavour thirteen. Most packaging falls apart at exactly that point, because the original design was made for four and nobody wrote down how it was supposed to grow.
Flavor & SKU System sits under Branding, drawing on Brand Design and Governance.
Who needs Flavor & SKU System?
You are launching a line rather than a product, or you already have a range where two flavours get confused at the shelf and one looks like a different company made it. Also the right time to do this is before the next flavour, not after, since retagging a range mid-run costs plate charges.
