Privacy Policy
Who we are
We Make Treasures is a creative studio operated by Brethren LLC, a Florida limited liability company. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Brethren LLC doing business as We Make Treasures.
This policy explains what we collect when you use wemaketreasure.com, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you fill in a form on our site, we collect what you type into it. Depending on the form, that can include your name, email address, phone number, company name, website, the industry you work in, the services you are interested in, details about your project, your timeline, how you heard about us, and any notes you add.
If you apply for a role with us, we collect your resume, portfolio links, and anything else you send.
If you take part in our referral program, we collect the information needed to pay you, which includes your payout details and, where required, tax information.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we and our service providers collect basic technical information when you visit: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring page, the pages you view and how long you spend on them.
Cookies and similar technologies. We use the following:
- Google Analytics: measures how the site is used.
- Vercel Analytics: measures traffic and performance.
- Meta Pixel: measures ad performance and supports advertising on Meta platforms.
- TikTok Pixel: measures ad performance and supports advertising on TikTok.
- LinkedIn Insight Tag: measures ad performance and supports advertising on LinkedIn.
We also use Google Search Console, which reports on how our site appears in search results. It does not place cookies on your device.
Some of these are advertising technologies. They allow Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn to recognize your device and to show you our ads on their platforms, including after you leave our site. See "Advertising and your choices" below.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Turning off some cookies may stop parts of the site from working.
What we do not collect. We do not ask for or intentionally collect sensitive personal information such as government identification numbers, health information, or financial account details, except where you provide payout information for a referral fee.
How we use it
- To answer your inquiry and talk with you about a project
- To provide services to you or the company you work for
- To evaluate a job application
- To administer our referral and white label partner programs, including paying referral fees
- To send emails you have asked to receive
- To measure and improve our advertising
- To understand how our site is used and to improve it
- To keep our site and business secure and to meet our legal obligations
We do not add people who contact us about a project to a marketing list without asking first.
How we share it
We do not sell your personal information for money.
We share information with:
Advertising platforms. Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn and Google receive information about your visit through the technologies listed above, which they use to measure our ads and to show you ads. Under some privacy laws, including California's, this counts as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out as described below.
Service providers who help us run the business. They may only use your information to provide their service to us:
- Vercel: website hosting.
- Sanity: content management.
- Google Workspace: email, documents, storage.
- Resend: sending transactional and notification email.
- Harvest: time tracking and invoicing.
- Slack: internal communication.
- Notion: internal project management.
Professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers, where needed.
Anyone else if you ask us to, or if we are legally required to, or in connection with a sale or reorganization of the business.
Advertising and your choices
You can limit advertising tracking in several ways:
- Adjust your browser's cookie settings, or use a browser that blocks third-party trackers by default
- Change your ad settings directly with Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn and Google
- Use the industry opt-out tools at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org
- Turn on a Global Privacy Control signal in a browser that supports it
You can also email hello@wemaketreasure.com and ask us to stop sharing your information for advertising, and we will.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry and client information for as long as we have a relationship with you and for a reasonable period after, so we can pick up where we left off and meet our record-keeping obligations. We keep job applications for 12 months unless you ask us to remove them sooner. We keep referral payout records for as long as tax law requires. Analytics data is kept according to the settings of the tools we use.
You can ask us to delete your information at any time, and we will unless we are required to keep it.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold, including access controls and working with reputable service providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct it
- Ask us to delete it
- Ask us to stop sharing it for advertising
- Ask us to stop emailing you, or use the unsubscribe link in any email
- Object to or restrict certain processing
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the General Data Protection Regulation. We apply the rights above to everyone regardless of location, because it is simpler and fairer than sorting people by jurisdiction. We will not treat you differently for exercising them.
To make a request, email hello@wemaketreasure.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Children
Our site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
International visitors
We operate from the United States. If you use our site from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a Do Not Track signal. There is no common standard for how to respond to it, so we do not currently respond to those signals. We do honor Global Privacy Control signals where our tools support it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the date at the top. If the changes are significant, we will say so on the site.
